Zulu Mien and Elegânté

Zulu Mien is very proud to have worked on one of our latest ranges with talented Zulu jewelry designer, Noxy Mseleku of Elegânté.

Noxolo Mseleku (Noxy) was born in KwaZulu Natal in the coastal town of Illovo. She is known for her unique, customised creations. Noxy has a deep love for jewelry and its history and this was the motivation behind creating her brand, Elegânté.

Noxy lived in Europe for two years and this time spent away awoke her passion, love, and eagerness to express stories through jewelry pieces. Each piece she designs and manufactures tells a story.

“To me jewellery is like a dream that travels within the portals of radiant insurgency, where imagination is limitless and possibilities are infinite.

Like a jewel, dreams are a treasure. Every jewel is connected to a memory of love, a special moment that is meant to be kept sacred.

Sharing a moment with the client, a moment of celebration, the celebration of love, life, and the celebration of an individual is the reason I fell in love with the jewelry trade.

Elegânté by Noxy is a brand that was created to give designers the opportunity to bring their ideas and designs to life. Noxy helps other designers/brands to materialise their ideas.

The company is currently incubated under the Ekurhuleni Jewelry Project (EJP), together with many other up and coming jewelry brands. EJP offers support to small businesses such as administration, technical assistance and access to high tech jewelry manufacturing equipment and human resources.

Elegânté by Noxy employs one full-time staff member and one part-time employee. Full-time employee, Lucas Mokganya, has a Diploma equivalent certificate in jewelry manufacturing. He also has two years manufacturing experience working with Browns, one of the biggest jewelry brands in South Africa.

The company’s main source of distribution is through wholesale, consignment, and trade shows (national and international).

Zulu Mien is very grateful to have worked with Noxy and Lucas. We love them for their attention to detail and approach to jewelry making.
